Sokha’s Story: Women in the World 2011
I don’t wish to add to the glamorization of poverty and hardship, but there are millions of girls like Sokha who crave the opportunity to attend school and their stories are worth sharing. This is a beautiful montage of a Cambodian girl’s story. After enjoying the short dance performace at the end. I hope you will be inspired to learn about what NGOs, governments and regular citizens can do to help girls attain education.
Just several steps out the door… watch out for motorbikes though!

Food in Cambodia
Like in New York City, one can get their fill of exotic foods ranging from authentic Nepalese to Lebanese to Greek within moments’ notice, even at late hours of the night. I might even go as far as to say that access to these good-quality delicacies may be even easier in Phnom Penh than in New York because of the city’s geographic location, pricing and size — everything’s only a short tuk-tuk ride away.)
